I wish there was something like a small Indian wedding but there isn’t. Our weddings are chaotic, fun, stressful and joyous at the same time. Most times one of the happiest days in our life also turn out to be one of our most tiring. This makes our beach honeymoon in Thailand more important as all we need after the wedding is a stress-free, calming vacation. Thanks to iTraveller we had just that!
Day 1 – Beach honeymoon in Thailand
We set out for Phuket on 21st June from Chennai via Bangkok. After quickly checking in to our rooms in the lovely Ramada Phuket Deevana. We headed for the Phuket city tour. The first half of the tour was taking in the beautiful vistas of the Andaman sea at the Kata View Point, Nai Harn Beach, Promthep Cape and the Rawai Beach. We really couldn’t get enough of the emerald green waters. There more majestic views to be had under the gaze of the Big Buddha statue. We relaxed post this, at the beach side lunch. The best of this trip was saved for the last – the Sino-Portuguese buildings in Phuket town. What a beautiful confluence of cultures – full of colours and vibrancy.
We relaxed in the evening with a walk down Patong beach which was less than a kilometre from our hotel.
Day 2 – Beach honeymoon in Thailand
We started early next day for our Phi Phi Island tour. We were worried about the boat ride and being sea sick but it was a very comfortable journey. After a little while in to the sea, the green of the water gets deeper and more inviting. The time tested limestone islands watch you pass by and you keep staring at them in wonder. We passed by some stunning beaches before docking at one of them.
It was one of the most pristine beaches I have ever seen all for a hand full of us. We had a lot of fun in the water. We could easily see the sea bed; the water was so good. I don’t think any amount of time spent here could do the place justice but sadly we had to head back sometime after a hearty lunch.
Day 3 – Beach honeymoon in Thailand
We wanted to take the last day of our trip easy so we opted for the half day Coral Island Tour. After a short drive, we headed to the Coral Island by speed boat. We could already see the corals when we were getting closer to the island. The serene surroundings, crystal clear water, beautiful beaches and extensive coral is what marks the beauty of this island. There were also lot of activities to do here like snorkelling, parasailing, jet-ski, underwater sea walk.
Day 4 – Beach honeymoon in Thailand
This was the last day of our short but beautiful trip. We were leaving Phuket in love with the place and with each other.
I would like to thank iTraveller for making this trip the most memorable in our lives. It was perfectly organised and there were guides waiting for us at all locations so we never had to worry about anything and were never lost. Thanks iTraveller for this great start to my married life!
