Many of us may or may not agree if tea can be called the national drink of India, but it is certainly the beverage that is ubiquitous across the country. Although it is served with variations in different parts of the country, but it is the drink that binds us all. Here are some places in India where you must stop by for a cuppa:
1. Gondola (Gulmarg)
Picture yourself at a restaurant built on a snow pyramid and the winds are blowing at 5450 km/hr — what do you wish for? Ek garam chai ki pyaali, isn’t it? This place serves the best almond tea. The feel of drinking tea at such a height is simply breath taking.
2. Tapri (Rajasthan)
3. Ooty (Tamil Nadu)
Ooty is a beautiful hill station in South India, famous for the Nilgiri Chai. When the temperature ranges between 5-23 degrees in Ooty, one place you cannot resist having the elaichi chai at, is the “Hill Top View” accompanied with cutlets, mirchi ke pakore and of course the view of this heavenly city.
4. Marine Drive (Mumbai)
