If You Don’t visit these places soon, They will only be found on Pics in a few years

Many places world over are nearing their doomsday! These are either being encroached in the name of modernisation and development or are falling prey to environmental degradation. But these are wonderful places that deserve to be experienced. Here’s a list of some such places and that gives you another excuse to travel. 😀

1.Galapagos Islands

Galapagos Islands Beach

These beautiful volcanic archipelagos give you a very different view of the world. The island has mostly witnessed thriving tourism industry. For wildlife lovers, it is the foremost destination to experience the rare endemic species.

However, the environmental degradation is making it impossible for the species to survive.

Maldives is one of the most romantic archipelagos on the earth offering nautical delights from night fishing to windsurfing and scuba diving.

What worries is that Maldives is the world’s lowest lying country, which could get swallowed due to global warming.

3. Venice

The floating city on a lagoon is a beauty of its own. The city, entirely listed as world heritage site, is sinking already. The water levels are rising which in turn is affecting the foundation of the buildings, and the frequent floods are dampening the visitor plans and the lives of locals.

Make time to visit this beautiful floating city before it sinks.

4.The Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef is the world largest coral reef with breathtaking view even from the outer space. Go swim, snorkel or scuba dive and sail in the world heritage site before it disappears.

The rising water temperature, ocean acidification and water pollution are some of the major reasons for its mass coral bleaching.

5.The European Alps

The Alps are breathtaking; they are beautiful and are the most exploited mountain ranges with natural wilderness. They deserve to be kissed before the low altitude glaciers melt away due to global warming, pollution and mass tourism.

6.The Glacier National Park

The national park located in the US state Montana on Canada and US border is replete with beautiful landscapes of deep valley filled with forest. There has been a serious issue of glacier melting and adverse effect on the ecosystem of the park in recent years due to climate change. It is expected to erode in 20 years from now.

Patagonia located in South America has beautiful landscapes with part of Andes Mountains. It is one of the rarest and interesting places in the world. The glaciers are facing a serious issue due to increase in temperature. Go before it melts away.

8. Alaska’s Northern Tundra

The tundra presents a spectacular landscape made up of permafrost that is found nowhere else on Earth. Due to rising global temperatures, permafrost is melting and with it the tundra is disappearing at a rapid rate!

9.The Taj Mahal

The crown of India and a symbol of love is expected to shut down very soon. The pollution created owing to the crowds is having an adverse effect on the white-stone monument. The tourism board is considering the closure of the monument for the public in a decade or so.

So make no delay.

10. Majuli

It is one of the largest inhabited mid river deltaic islands beached amid the mighty Brahmaputra river. According to the survey, the island’s current level of erosion shows the expectancy of its existence to maximum of 2 decades.

Make sure you visit before it goes extinct but not during monsoon because most of the island disappears under water during rains.
