You can catch an international train to Interlaken-Ost and you need to change on the BOB – train which goes to Grindelwald. You can also reach Grindelwald by hitting the road. Take the highway A6 or A8 to reach Interlaken and from here exit at Wilderswil and follow the main road to reach Grindelwald.

The only way to reach Jungfraujoch is by taking a train from Kleine Scheidegg and change there to the highest railway. The construction of this railway was completed in 1912  and even now it is in good working condition and well maintained. At the top, there is an observatory called the Sphinx Observatory, which provides a 360° view. We can see as far as Vosges in France. There is also a Ice Palace which you can enter, which is known as frozen wonderland.

Very close by to First, is a gorgeous Alpine Lake, which is about an hour away. Bachalpsee is at an altitude of 2,270 meters high. Its crystal clear reflective waters, grassy banks and snow capped mountains at the background, make this place a fairy tale location. During clear skies, the mountains are reflected on the water.This spot is amazing for photography and it is one of the top things to do in Grindelwald.

There are even more areas where you can take a gondola up around 40 km to reach the ski area. Bodmirena is the starting point. This means that the slopes are not too steep. At the ski resorts, you can easily rent the ski helmets and goggles. You have to rent/pick-up a sled at any of the stations located at the sled spots. The area is known as Big Pintenfritz and the drop is around 1,600 meters down the slope. Grosse Scheidegg is referred to as a walking paradise. You can reach here by taking a gondola up to First and hike around. There are also buses available to this spot. Even here you can witness herds of cattle, mormots and even golden eagles. No need to say about the views here. The view is as beautiful as ever.
