Switzerland tour package

A cheap Europe tour package from India? It sounds impossible. Well it may not be. We’ll tell you some great ways to cut costs without compromising on the quality of your vacation.

Plan well in advance
This is a no brainer really! The earlier you plan will get you better flight tickets and in a better bargaining position with the hotels as well.  In our experience, try planning your Switzerland tour package 4 to 6 months ahead.

Avoid high season
High season for Switzerland is July/August in summer and January/February in winter. So, if you would like to get cheaper rates for your Switzerland tour package you could aim for April/ May/June in summer or November in winter.
The summer early season in Switzerland also coincides with summer holidays for schools and colleges in India which makes it a good time for Indians to head there. The earlier in the summer the better.

Travel Pass
Switzerland’s railway connectivity is second to none. They offer a variety of passes that cater to all kinds of travel. They also have great offers for students and kids.

An example is the Swiss Travel Pass, which offers unlimited train trips for between 3 to 15 days. You can also avail the ferries and buses on this pass. Entries to many museums and mountain excursions are free on this too.

Walk around
Most western European countries are pedestrian friendly, Switzerland is no exception. Within the city, always try walking to and from your destination. It’s also one of the best ways to explore the cities.

Cook or buy food at a grocery store
If your accommodation has a kitchenette, consider cooking a meal a day, which saves you a lot of money. Also, supermarkets in Switzerland lie Coop or Migros, smell some of their produce at slightly lowered prices.
Stay longer in one place
Staying longer in a single place, gives you bargaining power. This could help you reduce your room rates substantially.
